Total Lunar Eclipse visible from Tunisia, on January 21st


(TFS) - The city of sciences in Tunis will be organizing on Sunday, January 20th, a special evening in collaboration with the astronomical society of Tunisia, under the theme "Pending the eclipse", as well as an evening gathering on January 20-21 in order to observe the eclipse, using telescopes.

The program includes workshops to shed light on the phenomenon, with guided tours in the pavilion of the universe and a conference entitled "January 21 Lunar Eclipse".

A live streaming observation will be held on Monday, January 21, starting at 3am. It will include workshops that provide a full eclipse observation by telescopes and two conferences on comets and eclipses, confirms a statement released on Saturday by the CST .

A total lunar eclipse will be observable from Tunisia, at the dawn of Monday, January 21. The first partial phases will start at 4:33 and will be visible under the sky. The eclipse will reach its maximum at 6:12 am and will end at 8:48 am, while the moon sets under the western horizon at 6:39 am.
