Marine and Continental Biodiversity in Tunisia by City of Science
(TFS) - The City of Science is organizing, on April 13,
2018, a panel discussion entitled “Marine and continental biodiversity in
Tunisia” moderated by Professor Mejdeddine KRAÏEM and Abdallah HATTOUR.
The panel will provide a comprehensive inventory of the
Tunisian marine fish species and brackish and freshwater fish.
A special attention will be paid to the common species of Tunisian waters, concerning their eco-biological characteristics, their regional and local bio-geographical distribution as well as their ecological (origin, classification) and economic status (exploitation by fishing and / or aquaculture, state stocks).
Solutions and recommendations will be proposed for the preservation of Tunisian fisheries and stocks of the various exploitable species.
